As promised, later this week (previously said), we would be having the Adult's Ministry Halloween Event up! And... we do! It will, too, be lasting for three weeks, and it is hosted in the Atrium. All adults from all over Wizarding London are invited, however, no students are able to attend, due to the fact that there is alcohol being served. So, I'm sure everyone has noticed the obnoxiously large banner at the top of the forum. Am I correct? Well, like it says, we're having a HALLOWEEN BASH! We are going to be starting it Tuesday November 10th, 2009. So, with that being said, we're expecting ALL students to be attending! Competition between the 7th years will announce who the King and Queen Bee's will be, and the rest of the students may compete for two (boy and a girl) positions for Court. NOVEMBER 6th, 2009
The end of the Battle at Hogwarts has seen an end at HaL, however, with the fall of another exciting event, rises a new one from the ashes! This time, like mentioned in this thread, we will be having a HALLOWEEN BASH! So, start searching for a costume for your character (age appropriate, please!), try on some outfits, and we'll see you down in the Great Hall! We will be having the seventh year students compete for King & Queen Bee, and the rest of the students will both compete for Court. Nonetheless, it promises to be a fun event, and we would love to see all faculty there! The date is not yet determined, however, please stick around and keep an eye-out on the Announcements board! So it's the day after HaL's birthday! ... SECOND birthday, if I may add. Anyways. Be sure to sign the birthday card, read my boring birthday announcement, sign up for the plot locations, and GET READY FOR THE NEW SKIN! We are looking at boosting activity dramatically, and what better way than after a birthday, a battle, AND a new skin!? There isn't. That's the answer. So, as you've all probably noticed, we've missed Halloween...
... by a long shot.
BUT DON'T WORRY! We're going to try and make it up to you! We've thought hard for a week steady on what could possibly make that spookiness creep through the corridors once more, and what not a better way than to bring back what was last weekend; Halloween! As you may have noticed, the role playing month still says it is October. October in the game, of course. So, with that information being put out, it can still be Halloween at HaL!
The event? Drum roll, please!
HALLOWEEN BASH IN DUNGEON FIVE! Ghosts, you guys can rock here, too. (No Poltergheists, please!)
The deets (details -- we're trying to be hip)?
The theme is a massive costume party; be anything you want (age-appropriate, and site appropriate, please)! Scavenge the Internet for one of the best costumes you can find, submit it to us (when the time asks), and cross your fingers! The winner of said competition will win a shiny badge and some house points!
We're adding twists, my friends, oh yes, plenty of twists. With the theme of the costume party and all, we're also having King, Queen, and Court! With that being said, the seventh years are/will be the ones competing for King and Queen bee, whereas the rest of the school may compete for a second spot in the hotseat for Court! Nominations for this will be announced in a poll for runner-up couples, and we will then have the community decide who wins! The winner of King/Queen and Court, will also, receive a badge, and some house points.
The duration of this event, you ask? Three Weeks. Three solid weeks of fun in the most awesomely decorated dungeon you have ever seen. So, pair up, start finding your costumes, and get those fingertips ready and trained for some intense threading! We will not be following a mass-threaded format for the event, as a board will replace Dungeon Five when the time comes.
When you should look out for this event? We promise everything will be up and running by Wednesday (November 11th, 2009), latest. Otherwise, the admins are quite busy (as always, eh?), and will tend to it before the said date. We will also be announcing everything that is announced here on our Twitter, so there's also an alternative if you're unable to get to a computer, or would like quick updates.
Nonetheless, we would love for you to bring your character on down to the dance, even if they don't have a date! It's promised to be one of our funnest events, and we're almost positive you'll find some fun in one way or another.
